So pick one of the four networks and get the album today!

Questions asked by: Lunatic 63

Q: We're here with Havikk of the South Central Cartel. First of all, congratulations on releasing your new album "The Rhime Son.”

Thanks a lot. If it wasn't for God it wouldn't be possible.

Q: Start us off by letting the fans know how they can get a copy of the album.

First of all, let me say thank you to all my fans and I want to let them know I got love for every single one of them. You can get a copy of the CD at: www.myspace.com/pspray and www.myspace.com/havikk70 or you can go to my official website www.straighthanginem.com and purchase it from there.

Q:  There seems to be quite a bit of unreleased material on the album, how much of the music was recorded recently?

A lot of it was recorded recently. Man, I been working hard with cats I know and like what they can do vocally on the mic.

Q: Fellow South Central Cartel member Prodeje is featured on the album; what is the current status on the group?

The current status of the group is that everyone is doing their own thing. We all love the SCC though; it's the foundation for what we have going on today. We talk all the time.

Q: Can we ever expect to get another SCC album with all new material?

Oh yeah, we are in talks about it. The thing is, we are all working on our individual projects at this time, but we won't rule that possibility out. The fans may be getting one more SCC banger (laughs).

Q: That’s good to hear. What's going on with Hot Dolla right now?

Hot Dolla? (Laughs), I haven't heard from Hot Dolla since I heard through the streets that he was involved somewhat in the Ice-T camp.

Q: Oh I see. Tell us what your relationship with Tupac was like?

Man, Tupac and I were cool. He was a very intelligent man and his struggles let us all know that we can accomplish whatever we want if we fight for it. Tupac was a real friend of mine in every aspect of the word. I enjoyed working with him and I'm proud to say that I knew him.

Q: That is fantastic. A song of Assassin's "Soldierz at War" under another song title and is now on your new album?

Yeah. Assassin is my boy. He's a hardworking cat like everyone I worked with; from Christy, Pete Spray, DJ Pimp, Ness, amongst others. Man, I work with people that will fit me the best and what I want to do, feel me? Assassin is one of those cats, real cool and humble.

Q: It's come to my attention that you've started your own record label "Straight Hangin Em Productions". Tell us about that.

Straight Hangin Em Productions is owned by me and Christy. We started this label because we wanted to put out our own shit without people controlling what we do. We have invested our lives in this right now. Straight Hangin Em Productions is us, Havikk and Christy, and you're about to be amazed at what we will throw at ya'll this year.

Q: What's next for Havikk? Any future projects planned at this time?

Like I said, me and Christy teamed up to start Straight Hangin Em Productions and we are about to drop our new album, B and J "Xplicit and Versatile", that's me and her. I'm also working on the Christy solo album "Survived", the Big Hav album "Nothing Personal" and a compilation called "The Maddness Continues". We are busy and loving it!

Q: What's going on with Rated R and the entire Thug Life crew in general?

I haven't talked to Rated R in a while to be honest with you. I have been working hard on the B and J album, getting it mixed and putting the finishing touches on the Christy album and the Big Hav album. In other words, I've been busy in the lab. Last time I heard he was locked up though.

Q: I see. Do you have any last words for the fans before I let you go?

I want to thank God first and then my right hand girl Christy who help me to make all our projects a success in many ways. Love goes out to Pete Spray for all he's done for me and to my boy DJ Pimp, Ness, Assassin and my local loco homie Fiji. Lastly to my seven angels; Brian Jr., Lakim, Chinna, Dejiana, Breanne, Raymona, and Shemaih; to all my fans: I do this for you guys. Big Havikk on the grind again!
