Scarface, a rap legend. Just two years after Uncle Face put together a new group "The Product" which released their critically acclaimed debut "One Hunid" Face is back at it with a brand new group straight out of Killeen, Texas.

The group goes by the name of "Green City" and is dropping their debut album "Brand New Money" this July.

I (Lunatic 63) got the opportunity to speak to one of the many members, Spark Dawg for an exclusive interview.

Read all about how Scarface discovered Spark and his fellow group members, how it feels to be working with Scarface and much more!

Q: We’re here with Spark Dawg of Green City, how’s it going?

I’m just chilling man; on the road doing a little pit stop in San Antonio with my homie Kyle Lee.

Q: What are you doing out there right now?

We’re at car show and we performed at the after party last night.

Q: How did that go?

It was crazy; we had Slim Thug come through and perform. Juice of Black Wall Street came through and performed; we chopped it up and you may see me appear on a future album of his for Black Wall Street.

Me and Kyle Lee tore it down; Question as well; everybody, it was all love.

Q: It sounds like that was a big event right there.

Yeah it was.

Q: Introduce our readers to yourself and the Green City group.

As far as myself, I go by Spark a.k.a. Spark Dawg and I am a member of a seven man rap group by the name of Green City; the group is based out in Killeen, Texas. Last year we put together an underground album by the name of “First You Get the Money.”

The album somehow made itself to Houston, Texas where Scarface happened to overhear it while he was working out in the gym. He tracked us down and told us he wanted to sign us; the rest is history.

Next month “Scarface presents Green City: Brand New Money” in stores everywhere July 15th.

Q: So the group was already together before Scarface discovered Green City?

The group has actually been together since all of us where in high school together. Myself, I was not in the group at that time but those where my high school homies.

Around 2005 when I came back home to Texas from Atlanta, I decided to hook up with Green City; the rest is history.

Q: Did Scarface make any changes when he signed the group?

Not at all. As far as any changes, he made us a lot more famous than what we are; but the group is exactly the same.

Q: What was your reaction like when you realized you were going to be backed by someone of Scarface’s stature?

I was amazed as I’m sure any other rapper from Texas would be. Anyone will tell you Scarface is a legend, especially here in Texas. I’m just blessed to be able to showcase my skills and have someone of his stature cosign my flow, ya dig?

Q: Take our readers to that day when Scarface made contact with yourself and the group? What was that like?

I can’t really take you back to that day because I wasn’t one of the first to find out; it’s actually a funny story.

I was out in Dallas chilling with my homie Tum-Tum; I was just chilling at his crib.

I end up getting a phone call from a blocked number; I pick up to find out it’s an assistant of Scarface’s and he was calling me because Face already had the whole group in Houston working on the album at his house. They called me to let me know that my group was there and I was needed at the airport because they already had a plane booked for me to come down there to join the rest of my group and get started on this Green City album.

It was really like a movie, it was really wild.

Q: That must have been a nice surprise.

Yeah it was a hell of a surprise (laughs).

Q: The album is titled “Brand New Money” and is being released when?

July 15th.

Q: Will it be available everywhere?

Fontana/Universal is distributing it and Fontana is like a sub-division of Universal Records; they push out a lot of Universal’s projects.

It’ll be available at Best Buy, Sam Goody, and FYE. If you can’t get it, hit me on my sidekick and I’ll shoot it to you for real.

Q: How did the group land the deal with Fontana/Universal?

That’s actually something that Face worked out; you’ll have to ask Uncle Face about that.

Q: That’s the benefit of being backed by someone like Scarface.

Exactly (laughs); shouts out to the godfather of the south, Scarface.

Q: Shouts out to Face, he’s a legend.

For real.

Q: Has a first single been chosen?

Yeah it’s called “Do It Like I Done It.” It’s a heavy club record and it’s real crazy. It’s about us having fun right now; we feel like the luckiest cats in the world right now. We are some under ground and humble people from a small town called Killeen, Texas who are getting the chance to put out a nationally distributed album backed by the legendary Scarface himself. The record is just us releasing that energy and showing the world how thankful we are for being in the position that we’re in; we going straight to the clubs with this one.

Q: Is a video being shot for the record?

We’re working on that treatment right now as we speak; be on the lookout for that. Shouts out to Will over at SMC Recordings, he’s helping out with that.

Q: Is that video going to be sent out to BET and MTV or will it be a video for the underground?

The plan is to get it on BET and MTV. Everybody just has to keep their fingers crossed, it’s going down.

Q: Which type of guest appearances are on the album?

We did a track about a year ago with Mannie Fresh called “Like a Porn Star.” It’s a bit old though, I don’t know if it’ll make the album still. You have to stay tuned, the album will be filled with surprises; the whole world will know July 15th.

Q: Who is on the album?

The only I am going to let out the bag is rest assured you will hear Scarface on the album for sure.

Q: Is Scarface an official member of the group?

I would say he’s more like the godfather of the group.

Q: How many tracks will he be appearing on?

You have to stay tuned; I can’t leak all the info homie.

Q: It’s cool. Does the group ever find it difficult to manage with seven members being a large number for a group?

Nope, because everybody in the group does their own individual solo stuff; even before we became a group. You have people as myself who have been nominated for SEA awards and has made various mixtape appearances.

Everyone in the group has the ability to land a solo deal off of this album once it drops. There has never been an issue because everyone is constantly working on their own stuff alongside the Green City album. We get it around here, everyone in my squad goes hard.

Q: Do you have any Last words for the fans before I let you go?

I want to give a special shout out to all of my fans and DJ’s who play my records. I love my momma and my family for holding me down. Scarface Presents Green City: “Brand New Money” dropping July 15th.
